Midsouth Launches Snow-Pile Challenge to Test Durability
The Midsouth Snow-Pile Challenge encourages residents, workers, and neighbors to showcase their largest snow, sleet, or ice piles. Participants are asked to take a current photo of their pile and post it on social media using the hashtag #snowpilechallenge.
After a set period, they should take a second photo just before their pile melts or diminishes significantly and share it with the same hashtag. The challenge aims to see which pile lasts the longest, according to organizers.
The National Weather Service Memphis shared their own snow pile as an example. The initiative is open to anyone with a sizable pile in their yard, workplace, or neighborhood, and aims to engage the community in a fun, weather-related activity.
