Local theater presents ‘Treasure Island’ this weekend
The Pontotoc Community Theater is set to perform its production of ‘Treasure Island’ this weekend, offering multiple shows for local audiences.
JoAnna Faulkner joins the cast as Auntie Nan, the owner of the Admiral Benbow Inn where the story begins. Faulkner has previously appeared in productions such as ‘Hansel & Gretel,’ ‘A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol,’ ‘The Nutcracker,’ and ‘Sherlock Holmes,’ according to theater officials.
Faulkner expressed enthusiasm about the play, saying, ‘You should see Treasure Island because I’m hilarious! Just kidding. But everyone is so talented, and itβs a great play.’ She also shared personal details, including her love for rewatching classic shows like ‘Little House on the Prairie’ and her trip to the city where ‘The Goonies’ and ‘Twilight’ were filmed.
Performances are scheduled for Friday, March 27, at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 29, at 2 p.m. Tickets are priced at $10. Tickets can be purchased online through a link provided by the theater or via their website.
