Light rain forecast for Friday in parts of the South, minimal accumulation expected

Rain is in the forecast for Friday, but the weather is expected to remain light across most areas, according to local meteorologists.

There is a low to moderate chance, between 20% and 60%, of very light rain mainly north of Interstate 40. Total accumulation is expected to reach no more than a quarter of an inch, with most areas receiving less than 0.10 inch.

The region should experience generally dry conditions, with only minor rain expected in some northern parts. Forecasters advise residents to remain prepared for light precipitation but not significant rainfall.
