Isolated thunderstorms forecast in southern Tennessee and Mississippi, with potential for severe storms in northeast Mississippi
Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop mainly south of the Tennessee-Mississippi state line beginning in the late morning, according to weather forecasts.
By this afternoon and into early evening, the risk of strong to severe thunderstorms will increase, primarily over northeast Mississippi. Hail is expected to be the primary threat from these storms, the National Weather Service said.
Officials advise residents in the affected areas to stay alert for changing weather conditions and to be prepared for possible severe weather warnings later today.
