Cold fronts to bring below-freezing temperatures to Memphis area

Memphis residents can expect a shift to colder weather starting this weekend, following a record warm day yesterday, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.

A series of cold fronts is forecast to push temperatures closer to seasonal norms by next week, the agency said.

Sub-freezing temperatures are expected Sunday through Tuesday mornings, prompting residents to prepare for the cold snap. No significant precipitation is forecast alongside the cold fronts, the weather service added.
